Directions for Use

For use in fields, yards, garden beds, containers, and indoor growing mediums.

As a direct amendment:
Mix compost into growing medium at 5-20% by volume. For seed starting, thoroughly mix into growing medium.  For established plants, integrate compost into the top 1-2 inches of growing medium and cover with mulch.  For transplants, add a sprinkle of compost in potting hole.

As a liquid extract:
Steep 1 cup of compost in 2 Litres of non-chlorinated water, room temperature. Apply to growing medium with a watering can.  This application method is most effective when the goal is to introduce biological organisms and nutrients into an existing growing medium.  Ensure that a sufficient amount of organic matter is present in the medium, to sustain biological life.

As a compost starter:
Apply as either dry mix or liquid extract, as little as 1% by volume.
Incorporate with composting ingredients.  Hydrate the compost material at the regular rate (e.g. 50-70%).  The additional biological diversity will speed the process of decomposition.

As a compost finisher:
Apply as either dry mix or liquid extract, as little as 1% by volume.  Incorporate into finished compost, to promote biological diversity, including mesophilic organisms.
